01 — About

Specialized care for
accident-related injuries.

Urgent Med First is a national network of licensed physicians dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents.

We understand that accident-related injuries — including traumatic brain injuries, spinal trauma, and soft tissue damage — require prompt, thorough medical attention.

Why the network exists

Conditions we evaluate

An evaluation covers all of them — not just the injury that sent you looking.

See how an evaluation works

When not to wait

A worsening headache, repeated vomiting, one pupil larger than the other, slurred speech, seizure, or someone who cannot be woken are emergency signs. Go to an emergency room or call 911 — do not book an evaluation.

  1. 01

    Traumatic brain injury (TBI)

Including injuries that emergency imaging is not designed to detect.

  2. 02

    Concussion and post-concussion syndrome

Headache, fog, light sensitivity and memory trouble that outlast the crash.

  3. 03

    Whiplash and cervical spine injuries

Neck strain and ligament damage from the rapid forward-and-back motion of impact.

  4. 04

    Lumbar and thoracic spine injuries

Mid and lower back trauma, including disc involvement and nerve compression.

  5. 05

    Soft tissue injuries

Muscle, tendon and ligament damage that often stiffens in the days after impact.

  6. 06

    Chronic pain from accident trauma

Pain that has persisted well past the point where recovery was expected.

  7. 07

    Neurological symptoms following impact

Numbness, tingling, weakness, dizziness and changes in vision or balance.

02 — Why prompt evaluation matters

The injuries that
wait to show up.

  1. Hour 0

Adrenaline blunts pain, and emergency imaging looks for what is immediately life-threatening.

  2. Days 1–7

Stiffness, headache, dizziness and numbness surface as that response subsides.

  3. Week 2 onward

An injury nobody documented becomes harder to treat and harder to explain.

Many accident-related injuries — particularly TBI, spinal injuries, and soft tissue damage — do not present obvious symptoms immediately following an accident. Without early evaluation, these conditions can go undiagnosed and worsen over time.

A thorough medical evaluation immediately after an accident allows physicians to identify injuries early, begin appropriate treatment, and establish a clear clinical picture of the patient’s condition from the outset.

Urgent Med First exists to make that evaluation accessible, immediate, and comprehensive.

03 — How it works

Three steps,
and none of them yours.

You attend the appointments. We handle the scheduling, the referrals and the records in between.

Step 01

Initial evaluation

Patients are seen for a comprehensive post-accident assessment. We evaluate for all injury types, including those with delayed symptom onset.

Step 02

Diagnostic referrals

When imaging or specialist evaluation is needed — MRI, neurology, pain management — we coordinate all referrals directly. Patients never have to navigate that process alone.

Step 03

Ongoing care coordination

Our team manages the full care continuum, from initial evaluation through treatment and specialist follow-up, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

What we coordinate

Arranged on your behalf when the evaluation calls for it.

01

Advanced imaging

MRI scheduled through our referral network when the evaluation calls for a closer look than an exam can give.

02

Neurology

Specialist assessment when head impact, persistent headache or neurological symptoms need a neurologist.

03

Pain management

Referral to physicians who treat post-traumatic pain specifically.

04 — Common questions

The things people
ask first.

If yours isn’t here, ask on the form below — a person answers it.

Yes. Traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries and soft tissue damage often produce no obvious symptoms at first — adrenaline masks a great deal in the first day or two. An evaluation while you feel fine is the one that establishes what was and was not injured.

Emergency imaging rules out bleeding, fracture and anything immediately life-threatening. It is not designed to detect concussion, soft tissue damage or early spinal injury. A normal ER visit means you were not in danger that night — not that you were uninjured.

We are a national network rather than a single clinic, so we look for a physician near you instead of waiting on one office's calendar. Tell us where you are and we will find the soonest appointment we can.

Not to start — you can contact us directly after an accident. If your plan requires one, our intake team will tell you and help you arrange it.

We arrange it. The referral is coordinated for you and the results come back to the physician managing your care, so you are not carrying discs and paperwork between offices.

Coverage after an accident depends on your policy, your state and the circumstances of the crash. Our intake team reviews your situation before your first appointment so you know what to expect.

05 — Schedule your evaluation

Start with
one phone call.

Send this and our intake team will call you back to take your history, review your coverage and match you with a physician near you.

By clicking Send I agree to receive emails, general communications and customer support text messages, and phone calls from Urgent Med First. I also agree to the Terms & Conditions. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. This form is not monitored around the clock and is not for emergencies — call 911 for a medical emergency.

A national network

Urgent Med First is not a single clinic. We match patients with licensed physicians in their own area, which means an evaluation close to home rather than a wait for the nearest specialty center.
